The MRF-350 is equipped with adjustable IR line outputs. Each output can be individually matched to rear panel IR inputs on any component that is designed to be operated by a standard IR repeater. The outputs utilize a 3.5 mm jack.You can control six identical components or zones - up to fifteen MRF-350s in the same installation. The MRF-350 has six "addressable" IR Line Outputs. For example, you can control up to six identical TVs with one MRF-350 or route volume commands for a specific zone to a particular zone IR input on a multi-zone pre-amp. If you have more than six identical components or zones, up to 15 MRF-350s can be separately installed to control them - thereby allowing up to 90 identical components or zones in one house.

I DO NOT recommend this for the novice, but if you can program the remote control by yourself this is a piece of cake. The receiver needs to be powered so I had to use the wire that you screwed onto the RF inputs. I bought this device because I had 2 DirecTV receivers hooked up to the same TV and I had no other way to get them to work with UR MX-900.I am NOT a professional installer, but I am very technically proficient and I set up my entire home theater by myself.I thought the installation instructions were inaccurate. The manual says that if you are using only 1 receiver you can just plug it in with the headphone jack, but this is wrong. After I did that everything worked flawlessly.Since I programmed my remote the first time I knew exactly where to go in to program to adjust the RF/IR for the devices.I am very happy with this device and it has exceeded all of my expectations.
It seems to be working flawlessly. Finally got this installed and we are having a blast using the system. Just in time for the holidays.
The base station, along with the mx850 remote, require the services of a professional installer unless your do-it-yourself skills are exceptionally advanced.
I controlled this with an MX850 Universal remote and it worked perfectly the first time. It also comes with many high quality stick-on IR repeaters for cabinet installations. I had zero problems. The unit projects IR from the base unit itself if you want to point it at your setup or a mirror.
Very user friendly. I got everything set up and working in less than 2 hours.
